Mon, May 27, 8:11 PM (2 days ago) Hola Mis Amigos! Well its been another hot, tiring, AMAZING, week here in the Land of the Nephites. This week we had changes! So my other companion Elder Macedo got changed. So my new companion is Elder Lopez, he is from Bolivia, he is 25 and a convert of almost 3 years!!!!! Crazy right! He has such a testimony of the gospel! I love it!!  One thing first, because I have a new companion everyone asks what his name is, and its Lopez so its really easy for the Mexicans. Then they look at my name and laugh hahah cause Cheney is hard for them to pronounce. So right now I have 4 names, its Cheney (English), Ch nee (Spanish), Chinito (Chinese), Chinec (Sotzil which means bean, a naticve language here is Chiapas). So a lot of people like my different names. Antonia has agreed to continue visiting with us but hasn't agreed to come to church......really sad and I am praying super hard for her.  Victor! Rain, rain, never go away. . . .  Hola Mis amaigos! Well the rain of Tuxtla has finally come! Here in the State of Chiapas they have a 4 month rain season. So everyday until September it will probably rain, which is something I could not be more happy about. I am very weird to when its dark and gloomy outside I am full of sunshine and happiness. It reminds me of the song There is sunshine in my soul today! Haha super weird but I love it. I am gonna start with a little sad and then work towards the happy stuff. First Antoina our little 15 year old that had a baptism date for the 18, dropped us. She sat down and said she doesnt want church anymore, she feels lonely and at church the people dont talk to her, she has problems with her family. She was crying and just letting everything our. In the end she didnt want to come to church anymore and didnt want to be baptized. We want to go back this week and just kep talking but it was super sad. One really good this this week ...

Dustin Cheney May 13, 2019, 7:04 PM (12 hours ago) to   me Hola Mis Amigos! This week has been full of ups and downs. First Antonia scheduled to be baptized this week!!! We are so excited for her. We have taught her everything so now we are just reviewing and explaining more in depth. She has so many questions and desires to know everything! She is so amazing! Our other investigators are progressing but not keeping their commitments for church. Alejandra and Diego I can tell want it but their lives are super busy with work and family. But I can tell once we just get them to come or really let them feel the spirit they will fully accept the church.  Bryan is the brother of one of our recent converts. He has come to church twice and says he wants to be baptized! So that is amazing! Bryan is so fun he is like a little brother! Haha I don't know what the experience is like so its fun learning. Also sorry to my older siblings for all the...

Hola Mis Amigos!! I am now a part of Mexico forever. . . . . This week was um interesting. First the title of this week, hahaha so here in Mexico I have to believe nothing is safe to drink or eat but you do it anyways and it usually makes you sick and also the sun is very powerful here. So I haven't been feeling well and it got worse. So basically after every meal which usually is only lunch because that is what we have with the members, I feel like I am going to be sick. And then we have to go back out and continue working, in the sun which is about 100 degrees right now. So one day I was like I can't do this during one of the meals. Thankfully the members don't usually eat with us they just give us food and go do work somewhere else. So I put my food on my companions plate. And told eat and let's go. So we left and I was walking ready to faint and die. So in the street I up chucked all over, and my companion is just standing there laughing because I guess it...
