Elder Cheney Takes on Mexico (and Fresno)

Hola mis amigos!!! Ok so this week has been such a crazy week, Ok first of all we had our Branch Christmas party, but since we are two missionaries of branch that also means we are two adult members. So Friday and Saturday we had to help all day to prep for the activity! On Friday one member brought a giant pig, and they tied it down-- (This is mom, editing this graphic description. Dustin (who wants to be a doctor) doesn't think anything is too gory : ) And ladies and gentlemen Wilbur is no longer with us. So afterwards we literally used every part of the pig and I mean every part. I was assigned to help make chicharron, which is where we fry the skin to my like chips, its actually so good!! Then I helped clean out the intestines of the pig. Saturday, we came super early in the morning to help make the food, when we got there they gave us the marunga, the intestines filled with rice, meat, and blood hahah it actually wasn't as bad as I thought. Not much happened this week, But prayer is so real! God has answered my prayers!! I have been praying a lot this week and just know that God Loves you a ton!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!!! I truly know that God has a plan for us!! I have really seen that this past week Elder Cheney ALSO I MADE COOKIES!!! I was a very happy person!    

I am a chicken killer! How is everyone doing! I hope your Thanksgiving and first part of December have been absolutely fantastic!! I am sorry for those I didn't write last week! I couldn't, we got news that 9 missionaries from my zone had to travel on bus to tuxtla for a Missionary Leadership Conference with president Doman. One of them was me! So Monday I had to travel 4 hours to tuxtla for conference with him! But these two weeks have been crazy!! 1. Karina and Melani were baptized! Pte Doman came for the baptisms!! We baptized in a river near my area, oh man it was so amazing!!! Hna Karina couldnt stop smiling!! Also One other person that got baptized hurt her ankle so she couldnt walk, but we helped her in and out of the water. She was so scared because the water was cold, but afterwards she was jumping up and down, saying the water was so warm. 2. QUE HONDA!!! How are ya'll doing? This week was amazing!!!! LIKE AMAZING!!! Here are some highlights: 1. I finished the book of Mosiah!! I love that book so much, it has so many amazing helpful tips!!! 2. Had interviews with presidente Doman this week. It was great!!! He is such a spiritual man, our meetings are about 8 hours with him haha.  3. WE ATE CHICKEN WINGS THIS WEEK!!!! I think I ate more than 30 chicken wings!! 4. To explain the title, we have a couple, Karina and Rigoberto, who aren't married. But we asked them if they want to be baptized and be married and they said yes. BUT WE TOLD HIM TO PROPOSE!!!! HE DID IT RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF US!!!! Me and my comp had rings that a member gave us the day before and we gave them to use for the rings. We were blessed from God to have those rings. 5. We visited waterfalls called Chiflon today, they were so amazing!! They are about 900 meters tall waterfalls. We got super close and got drenched, but it was ...

Hola mis amigos!!! So there was only one really big thing that happened this week, WE HAD A BAPTISM!!!!!!! This week, 1. Studied a ton, I am working hard for that goal of reading the whole book of mormon in 6 months, I am hoping for maybe twice. BUT IN SPANISH!!! 2. We traveled a ton because we had to help out some other elders so I wasnt really working in my area for a lot of the time this week! 3. ASHLEY got baptized!!!! We went to a river and had an amazing service, she was super nervous and then she got in the water. when she came out from the water she couldnt stop smiling. She told me she was so happy. SHE IS NOW TEACHING ALL HER FRIENDS. We are going to meet with about 4 of her friends!! 4. Had a great family night!! Shared about the tree of life!!! GO WATCH THE NEW BOOK OF MORMON VIDEOS!!! Hola mis amigos, How are yall doing!! I am sorry I haven't written these past two weeks, let's just say a lot has happened, but so many great things!!! 1. I got a new companion named Elder Romero from costa Rica, he is 24.  2. We had a multi zone activity with president Doman, we went to some ruins, called Chinkultic. 3. SUPER COOL!!!!! My mission is believed to be the place of where the Book of Mormon took place, but these ruins my president believes is where ABIDANDI was killed by fire!!! Its not church stated but some research he has read makes him think it is possible. 4. There are altars where they would sacrifice people, but also there was a stone that had carvings of a man being killed in flames (the people use to draw pictures on stones for time keeping purposes). 5.
