So here, eat this. . . .

Hola mis amigos!!!!

Yet again I am sorry that I haven't written in a while....... I am not the best at it.

But lets just say this week was one for the books. First of all we had the baptism of Bryan! The 10 year old that is a better member than I am! He comes to all the activities early and in this past week he has invited almost the entire ward to his baptism. He was baptized yesterday and honestly almost the whole ward went, so I am going to take my name tag off and just hand it to him.

One freaking crazy adventure this week was planning for the baptism. Us and the sisters had an appointment in the church. So while we waited we checked the font to see if we needed to clean it. Welp my good people that thing hasn't been cleaned since DECEMBER!!!! So it was cover in dirt, the water was about a foot tall (The draining system does not work.....gotta love Mexico). We tried draining the water but yeah nothing. So we were trying to figure out what to do.........well no one else will do it so its up the missionaries. I took my shoes and socks off and rolled up the pants and go to work. We first tried to plunge the drain, that just made it worse. More dirt came out....... So we started bailing it out with buckets. But where to put the water you might ask? The toilets. So after 2 hours of sweaty, and standing in water we finished. High fives for the missionaries. Lets just say the baptism had clean water.

Ok for the title, we visited Estella in the mercado (Farmers market) and started talking about weird things they sell. She then bought us some tamales. And said here eat this.... it was an iguana tamale. Yep that's right I ate an iguana. It tasted like chicken. So it wasn't horrible.

So we really haven't been able to work that much because this past week my companion hasn't been able to work because he was sick with an ear infection. With how hot it is here the sun will just make it worse.

But we have visited a couple of our people, like confirming the baptism of Rosita!! She is a 94 year old woman that wants to be baptized!!She is the mom of some members! hahah its pretty crazy!!

So here is a scripture that i really liked!
14 And I will also ease the aburdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as bwitnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their cafflictions.

Because I have really needed to have some patience, the mission is a big change, its the best but its hard. And realizing this I realized that life is really not the easiest thing.

But We need to have patience, in the Lord's will.

Love you all!
