Hola mis amigos!!

Wow this past two weeks have been seriously insane, but thats the mission life for ya!! 

So these past week I have been just learning my area and the investigators and finding new people to teach. So they are wanting to create a new ward here so they made my area a combination of 2 areas, which means my area is MASSIVE. I have from a street called the 1st street to the 44th street but there is more than that! I haven't walked my entire area yet because it would take about 2 hours!

But with Jacklyn, which I learned to spell her way is Yakqueline, is doing super good! She still wants to be baptized but her mom has no time to talk to us to sign her form of permission. Also her neighbors do not like us, we visited them one night and she wasn't home. But her neighbor answered and then slammed the door in our faces ! Hahah! Oh well she still wants to meet with us. But everytime we teach something she just says how tranquil (Sorry I forgot how to spell this word) she is and she is just feeling the love of God!

Our other investigtors Gloria and Alan, are a mom and son. They have some hard times together because they both work but the son is still 15 and is lonely when his mom isn't there. So he leaves a lot and she doesn't know where he is lot of the time. But its also super hard to find them, because they are never home. But this week we happened to be in her friend's house and she showed up!!!! We talked to her and she accepted to be baptized!!!! We now just need to work on the relationship between the son and mom.

We have been searching hard to find new people and we are continuing to do that, even though this area is big we haven't found many people that want to listen, but we keep praying that we will find those people. 

Well some funny stories, my comp fell out of a tree, he got bit by a dog and has a scar that looks like a human bit him. 

We also had a big baptism night this week were we had 5 people get baptized and president Doman came, also reminding him that the last time he was here he almost died hahaha. But it was an amazing night and I had the opportunity to baptize a person, Christopher who is 8 and he is super shy, but his smile! HOLY CRAP IS SO AMAZING!! He is a great kid!

So we had a meeting with Presidente Doman and his wife, his wife then told us her favorite time is coming up, we all thought Christmas. BUT NO! ITS GENERAL CONFERENCE!!!

General conference is a time that we need to look forward to in all honesty. It's a time for us to listen to the lord through his prophets and apostles. Honestly general conference can be like Christmas morning!! Just being filled with the love of God and his son!!!!!

I love Amos 3:7, God reveals his mysteries through Prophets and no one else. Russell M. Nelson is a true prophet of God! I am thankful that in a week and a half we will be able to hear from our prophet!!

Hola Mis Amigos!!! Well this week was 100% better this week! We had so many miracles and it just makes me so thankful for Heavenly father and the blessings that he gives us!!! So we had a baptism this week! Hermano Manuel, he came to church about 4 times and he never had time to meet with us. But one time we met with him right after church and for a straight hour and a half he just talked. We didnt say anything. So that was fun haha! But then this tuesday we were trying to get in contact with him because we hadn't talked to him for a week, but his phone is really bad and he had work we thought. But he answered us!! He wanted to meet that night, but!!!!!!! We were walking through the park in our area and he walked right past us!!! He was looking for a job because he lost his, which was good and bad.......But we talked to him then and asked him if he wanted to be baptized in 5 days. HE SAID YES!!!!! Hola mis amigos! This what right after new years. Wow well this year has been a real interesting one now hasn't it. It sure feels like we have been through a couple spin cycles. But we made it right!  As I have looked back at this year I realize that I have learned and experienced a lot! Let's see the adventures of Elder Cheney this past year!!! Jan- Continued my streak of being transferred every 2 weeks in Mexico by getting 2 new areas!  Feb- Heard about Covid and starting hearing rumors Mar- Got the news I would be sent home April- got released and spent 6 weeks at home!  May- I was reassigned to the California Fresno mission!  June- learned how to a social media missionary as we were stuck in quarantine. July- Moved to Fresno and met many great people, and Martha got Baptized August- We began leaving our houses and began visiting people again September- I was able to serve and help so many people in Vineyards, moves, and yard work Oct.- We had Axels baptism! ...

  Soy comida para niños Hola Mis Amigos! Sorry for not emailing this past week! But honestly its been just a normal week of missionary work. So in my area we received a new set of missionaries! So Tuxtla Chico now has Elders and Sisters!!! So we spent some time looking for a house for the sisters and then spent some time moving them in, moving a full on fridge up a tiny stairwell is not the funnest thing. But I am now prepared to go back home and help the elders quorum.  This week we have been working really hard to find new people and also keep teaching, 1. ANA- SHE IS THE BEST!! She has been one of the best investigators that I have ever had. She has read the Book of Mormon until Alma, prayed for answers and received them! Then she has come to church like for two months!!!
