 Soy comida para niños
Hola Mis Amigos!

Sorry for not emailing this past week! But honestly its been just a normal week of missionary work.

So in my area we received a new set of missionaries! So Tuxtla Chico now has Elders and Sisters!!! So we spent some time looking for a house for the sisters and then spent some time moving them in, moving a full on fridge up a tiny stairwell is not the funnest thing. But I am now prepared to go back home and help the elders quorum.

This week we have been working really hard to find new people and also keep teaching,
1. ANA- SHE IS THE BEST!! She has been one of the best investigators that I have ever had. She has read the Book of Mormon until Alma, prayed for answers and received them! Then she has come to church like for two months!!! BUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTT, is scared to be baptized. She wants to be more than sure. So we are helping her with that. Pray for her.
2. BRYAN (CHINO)- He is a 10 year old, and he is the chillest little dude, he listens and understands everything! It was dope when he told us ¨So when can I be baptized ̈  WHAT??? So that was great. We now just need permission!
3. FLORIDELMA- She is Guatemalan, she is here with her husband who is a member. We have visited her a couple times. she is super sweet and super nice! She also wants to be baptized! We are teaching her to prepare.
4. BRYAN (GRANDE)- This child needs help!! He is super smart but struggles with the idea of God. We are literally starting from scratch! Its very humbling to do that because it makes you think from where your own testimony came from.

LETS TALK ABOUT ESTRELLA!!! So we found her in the mercado or the farmers market. BUT do not get confused with the nice, clean, amazing farmers market that you are thinking of. This smells bad, they sell meat that has sat outside all day, fruit and vegetables that look gross. I don't like thinking about it because I realize the members buy the food from there to feed us. BUT Estrella´s daughter cande, is crazy. The title says I am food for kids, because this crazy child just kept BITING ME!! She would come up to me and bite me. I had marks afterwards.

I have been thinking a lot about patience this week. I have been very humbled these past few weeks. I have needed to rely on the Lord a lot more and just trust in him. We gave a lesson about patience yesterday to a member that is sick, she just had surgery and cant leave her house for 4 weeks.  I shared Alma 38:4-5.

For I know that thou wast in bonds; yea, and I also know that thou wast stoned for the word’s sake; and thou didst bear all these things with apatience because the Lord was bwith thee; and now thou knowest that the Lord did deliver thee.
And now my son, Shiblon, I would that ye should remember, that as much as ye shall put your atrust in God even so much ye shall be bdelivered out of your trials, and your ctroubles, and your afflictions, and ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

I just love this scripture, God is with you. Enough Said. Trust Him, love Him, be there for Him.

Love you all!
Elder Cheney
