Dustin didn't have time to write this week, but we did talk to him several times with permission of course : ) His companion had been sick and was running a fever. They really have had no way to take care of him, as the apartment they are living in is still empty, no furniture, dishes, etc. After a few days, they contacted the mission medical, and they wanted them to travel 2 hours on the bus to Tuxtla to visit the hospital and have his companion treated. Apparently there have been several missionaries in this mission with dengue fever, several who have been hospitalized for weeks. After waiting at the hospital for hours, they were told that it was an infection, but not dengue fever. Dustin says their apartment is near a river with lots of bugs, so they have been a bit worried. We hope and pray his companion gets better quickly.
While communicating with the mission office, apparently Dustin was told that he was being transferred, to an area in the mountains. Dustin was not able to give us a lot of details, but hopefully when we talk to him on Monday we will be able to get some details and he will be able to write an email.
He asked me to send you a scripture to read, 4 Nephi 1:1 and said that he will talk more about it next week. Thanks so much for your support of Elder Cheney.
He reached his 6 month mark this week : )
Love,
Brenda
