Hola mis amigos!

Looks like we are here again! So last Tuesday I arrived here to Fresno California. When we got here I arrived with 15 other elders, all of us have about the same amount of time like 15 months in the mission field. We all came from different missions, me and one other guy came from mexico. We actually started our missions together, so I knew him. Then there were some from Peru, Paraguay, Costa Rica. So we were from all over the place. So president Mackay basically told us we aren't new so we just gotta get out there and start working. And 10 minutes later we were talking a picture and got into our cars. Yep that's right ladies and gentlemen we have cars! No more knee aches, blisters, or holes in my shoes. Ok well maybe who knows but I now have an air conditioned CAR! GOD IS GOOD!

I was told I am going to be finishing the training of my new companion, Elder Wilson. So I am again a "Dad" too. So I'm in a new place, a new area, and i got a new kid too. So we share an apartment with two other elders because we have areas right by each other. I feel like I'm in the best two years movie. I am in Reedley California. This area is super small, it's a group of members not a branch. So I feel like I'm back I'm in my old Mexican ways. But the cool thing about this mission is that its primarily spanish speaking so almost all of the missionaries are spanish speakers. So I am training my kid to speak spanish learn an area and to teach. An area that I don't know. So this is gonna be a fun experience. Haha

One super special thing is that since we are in quarantine, and unable to leave. We get to teach people from other places. It's difficult to find people from reedley because there aren't many people. So our mission wants us to teach people from all over because we can video call. So especially for us missionaries coming from different missions we can teach our old investigators! Now I want you to reach deep into you mind and remember Ana. Yeah the girl that we taught for months and couldnt make much progress. We had a lesson with her and oh boy oh boy! God is good! She told us once we left she was really sad, so she began to read her book of Mormon again. She decided it was now her choice to know if it was true. SHE FINISHED THE BOOK OF MORMON! cover to cover she FINISHED and cried, the spirit was so strong for her. She apologized to me that she didn't know earlier because she wants to be BAPTIZED but we aren't there anymore. But it doesn't matter if we are there as long as she makes this decision! We have had more success with some of my people from mexico. But it has been hard to find people to teach. SOOOOO I ask you all lovely people to find someone, it can be YOU, a family member, a friend it doesn't matter but send them my way and we can teach them. Honestly I ask you guys to not just read over this but actually think about someone that needs help, needs some more light in their lives. It might be you, I would love to talk to you and bring the light of my life into yours.

I have been working a lot on facebook because we can't leave.
I found one scripture that just really hit me. John 16:33. I attached it. But I love it cause we all have those tribulations. But so did Jesus Christ, BUT he had our tribulations he had everyone's. So we kind find comfort in the fact that he has felt what we feel. He knows how we feel. But he over came those tribulations, he overcame the world. So through him we can too. It's hard transitioning into a new mission, becoming a missionary again it's not a easy thing. But I know through Jesus Christ I can overcome the hard times and you can too!

Love you all,
Elder Cheney
One pic from my mtc times cause its makes me happy to see how far we have come!
